NASA Sky-Mapper Finds 25,000 Hurtling Objects of Doom

NASA’s Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE), a sky-mapping space telescope, is set to complete its first full survey of the sky on July 17. So far, the infrared space observatory has beamed back to Earth over one million images of everything from asteroids to distant galaxies. It has discovered over 25,000 new asteroids.
