Aiming to alleviate hunger and eradicate food waste has been the mission of Food Gatherers since 1997. Beginning with just one employee and a borrowed car, Food Gatherers has grown to a full time staff of 19 people and more than 5,000 volunteers, who together have distributed more than 40 million pounds of food throughout the Washtenaw, MI county.
